Ingredients

  • 2 pounds pork shoulder (Boneless)
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 2 Oranges
  • 2 limes
  • 6 garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon fresh black pepper
  • 1 1/2 cup of any beer

Directions

  1. Start with the Sauté function on your Proctor Silex pressure cooker and proceed to brown the pork on both sides for 2-3 min with the oil.
  2. Make your marinade by mixing all the ingredients and add everything into the pressure cooker with the pork.
  3. Cover and change your mode to pressure cook and cook for 35 min. After that, release pressure and transfer the carnitas into a bowl.
  4. Shred the pork by using a fork and then assemble your tacos and add your favourite toppings and ENJOY!!

Notes

If you want to use other noodles, just use this rule for cooking time – HALF whatever the box says. That’s the general rule for pressure cooking noodles. So, if the box says 10 minutes until al dente, you’ll want to set your pressure cooker to 5 minutes. I would also still natural release for around 6 minutes no matter what noodle you are using.
