Ingredients

  • Water
  • 1/2 cup gluten-free quick 1-minute oats
  • 1 tablespoon turbinado sugar
  • 1 tablespoon chopped dried apples
  • 1 tablespoon dried cherries
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Milk, chopped nuts, toasted coconut, if desired

Directions

  1. Fill electric kettle with water and bring to a boil. 
  2. In a serving bowl, stir together oats, sugar, apples, cherries, and cinnamon.
  3. Pour ¾ cup (6 ounces) water over oatmeal mixture and stir until well blended. Cover and let stand 3 minutes.
  4. Serve with milk, chopped nuts and toasted coconut, if desired.
