Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons poppi® Strawberry Lemon
  • 1teaspooncornstarch 
  • 1poundfresh strawberriesrinsed, hulled and halved or quartered 
  • cupgranulated sugar 
  • 1teaspoonvanilla extract

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, combine poppi Strawberry Lemon and cornstarch. Mix until there are no lumps. Set aside. 
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine strawberries, sugar, vanilla extract, and poppi/cornstarch mixture. 
  3. Cook over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil, stirring constantly. 
  4. Reduce heat to low and cook, stirring constantly, until berries begin to soften, about 2 minutes. 
  5. Remove pan from heat. Cover and let sit for 10 minutes. 
  6. Serve warm or cold. 
  7. To store, place in a sealed container in refrigerator for up to 5 days.

This sauce is also great on pancakes or waffles, or over ice cream.
