Taco Cones or Bowls recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef, chicken, or turkey 
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder 
  • 1 tablespoon paprika 
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ancho chili powder 
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin 
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dried oregano 
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder 
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder 
  • 1 teaspoon salt 
  • 1/2 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper 
  • 1 1/2 cups beef broth 
  • 1 recipe Taco Waffle Cones or Taco Waffle Bowls

Suggested taco toppings: shredded cheese, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, diced onion, sour cream, guacamole, etc. 

Directions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, break up the ground meat and cook until no longer pink. Drain and discard fat. 
  2. Stir in chili powder, paprika, ancho chili powder, cumin, oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.  
  3. Reduce heat to medium-low. Stir in beef broth and continue cooking for 6 to 8 minutes, or until most of the liquid is absorbed. 
  4. Place about 1 tablespoon shredded cheese in the bottom of a taco cone or across bottom of a taco bowl. Fill with meat and desired taco toppings. Serve immediately.
